The bitcoin economy is scary as shit  Shocked

Let's see where it takes us from here...

edit: Now there's a 100k wall at 0.0028 on bitfunder, did Ken put it up?

He said he was putting up more shares at bitfunder but never specified at which price; it seems like a reasonable inference though

Yes, those are the ones.

How many shares remain to be put up?

Looks like Surprise made a good bet buying those 20,000 calls from me, and I, myself, can't complain about a ~40% profit either

EDIT: my congratulations maybe a bit premature as a new wall is going up

New update, this time I considered some hardware selling estimates, as well as the impact of Ken's 15M shares on the whole operation. Smiley

(any errors found, just shout! Grin)

Considerations:
  • Mining
  • Klondikes mining at August (worst case)
  • Avalon chips overclocked to 380MHz, since they will be running on Springfield Underground data center
  • November/December (worst case) hashrate increase from the high-volume process (low-volume is not worth it for just a ~month difference), using BTC1.2 per chip+assembly cost, chips at 16GH/s, not overclocked
  • 50% of mining dividends used to buy new Fast-Hash-One 16GH/s chips
  • Total network hashrate includes ActM's mining plus hardware sold to other parties (200% markup)
  • Sales
  • Sales volume is really hard to predict. I just assumed it to be 2x the profits of mining, which I still think is really on the low side, as ActM is gonna also sell chips in bulk. For example, Avalon in getting ready to ship its ~BTC164,000 in bulk chips. There is definitely money to be made in bulk chip sales!

Conclusions:
  • Investors are fully reimbursed of their paid BTC.0025/share around December/January
  • The MH/s/share and MH/s/BTC are indeed crazy profitable
  • As soon as the unit price of chips gets down (it will drop 1/3 to 1/4 even before going to easicopy), the hashrate can rise even much further
  • Having direct access to buy hardware at manufacturing cost is what really makes this possible
  • The effect of hardware sales is just mind boggling

I LOVE this, but is there any chance we can make a slight modification to have the estimated divs in numerical form rather than in scientific notation?

Vbs, would it be possible to get the spreadsheet on a Google Docs share as read only? I'm ok with the SI - although maybe there is an easy way to deploy 2 almost identical copies, one with the dividends shown as decimal?

I'll do an update on this next week, when the final block of shares is sold for the reference board avalon assembly.

Thanks for the comments! Wink

Ok guys, second set of walls is coming down. Where do you see the share price settling once they are gone?

I'm a bit annoyed I didn't have internet access when it hit 0.0034 and new walls went up, I would have caught the announcement, sold and bought into the lower prices walls.. oh well, the trick is to not be greedy right?

With this stock, holding long is definitely a good option

True, that is of course what I'm planning to do. But there you could easily have significantly boosted your share count by just paying attention to the other thread. Oh well. I'm still happy with what I have.

Seems like AMC is getting a huge bump from the SDice closedown.

ASICMiner is too expensive would be my guess so everyone is buying up AMC....

Speculation like this will damage long term price increases, and damage Kens ability to raise funds via share sales. Hold your damn shares and you will be able to sell a sustainable 10% in a few months for more than you can make flipping them now. Don't shoot yourself in the foot by flooding the market at this stage in the company's development.

I know a lot of people are new to stock exchanges and found about them just because of bitcoin. But what are you saying is utterly moronic. Its PUBLIC "stock" anyone is obligated to do with his shares whatever he wants. Trying to say someone to hold to shares for long run on forums is pointless and naive. Some people dont care if AMC succeed in long run they are here for profit on short term. And if you hate speculators you are just silly because : 1. without them 1/2 of the shares would still be not bought 2. how the fuck do you think price of shares rise or fall, with everybody holding on it ? 3. If AMC cannot handle speculation on market, it clearly isnt supposed to be successful company
